Press Release Body: Landlord Dave Wells is taking a fresh look at his building
projects with a series of modern developments springing up in the area.

The latest development of 10 houses and 15 flats and a shop in Bargates,
Christchurch, will be a far cry from the usual brick design that has become
prevalent. It features white walls, glass balconies, steel and wood.

Construction work is underway on the site of the old tyre fitting workshop next to
the railway bridge and the first phase will be completed by 2009.

Steve Wells, Managing Director of Dave Wells Properties, said: "We do try to make
all of our homes visually appealing and felt it was time for a more modern and fun
approach.

"Everyone has the right to live in comfort and there's no reason why our
developments can't enhance their environments. An attractive development like this
at the gateway to Christchurch has to be an improvement on stacks of tyres and
under-used land.

"There is a need for more affordable housing in Dorset and building in suburban
locations such as this helps prevent development in the greenbelt."

Architects Harriplan have worked closely with Christchurch Council to come up with a
suitable design and the building work is being completed by Glossbrook Homes. Dave
Wells Properties already has a list of tenants wanting to move into the new flats.

Other modern developments recently completed include 17 flats in Lorne Park Road,
Bournemouth. A more traditional approach has been taken to a development of 12
flats in New Borough, Wimborne.

Steve added: "There will always be a place for more traditional developments -
we'll look at each development on an individual basis and will always work to
produce plans that compliment their environment."
